What happens to be the youngest and fastest growing world religion and has more in common with Christianity than Mormonism?

If you answered Islam, you are right.

With nearly 1.2 billion followers, Islam is the second largest religion in the world.

During this weekend’s high school services at Calvary Community Church, we will be taking a closer look at the Story of Islam.  What do we, as Christians, have in common?  Where do we disagree?  Why do I hear the words Islam and Muslim used together…are they the same thing?  What do Muslims believe?  What does it take to enter into heaven for a Muslim?  Why are some Muslims violent and others aren’t?  We will be exploring these questions as well as others this weekend and during our weekly Ignite Bible studies this Tuesday night.

It is our hope and prayer that we can have a greater understanding of the Islamic faith and the Muslim worldview…so that we might be able to better share Christ’s love with them.

This week, our Ignite small groups will be digging deeper into the Atheistic and Agnostic worldview as well as exploring the Unitarian-Universalist Church and how these worldviews contradict the Christian metanarrative.  Equipping the students with a greater knowledge of these worldviews helps sharpen their faith as well as increase their ability to love and care for others who adopt these worldviews while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
